Continuing Medical Education
An annual allowance is available to residents and fellows. Additional funds are available to use toward the purchase of textbooks or educational software. Residents are also granted CME days every academic year to attend approved medical conferences.
Insurance
- Medical, dental and vision insurance are offered; premium cost is shared by residents and fellows
- Disability and basic life insurance are provided without cost
- Malpractice insurance is provided by the organization at no cost
Meals
A $3,000 meal stipend is provided to all residents and fellows in addition to annual salary.
Retirement Savings
Residents are eligible to participate in the retirement plan.
Vacation
First-year residents receive 15 days of paid time off annually. Second, third, and fourth-year residents receive 20 days of paid time off annually.
Parking
Parking is free on campus for all residents and fellows.
Leaves of Absence
In accordance with ACGME requirements, residents and fellows are eligible for up to six weeks of paid leave for medical, parental, or caregiver leave one time during the training program.
Licensure
Michigan educational limited licensure, DEA and state pharmacy fees are provided by the residency program for all resident years.
