EECP

There are many possible explanations as to why you're having chest pain. Through testing and diagnosis, the physicians at Trinity Health Michigan can identify the exact source of your discomfort.

Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) is one method we employ to ensure blood is flowing freely to your heart, eliminating the source of your pain and returning you to a happy, healthy life.

What is EECP?

EECP is a non-invasive treatment for patients with persistent angina or heart failure. It helps improve blood flow in the areas of the heart deprived of adequate blood supply by stimulating the small branches of blood vessels. This creates natural bypasses that allow blood to flow more freely to the heart, relieving the patient from experiencing frequent chest pain.

EECP is typically performed in an office setting and patients will receive treatment for one hour per day for 35 treatments, equating to visits for five days per week for seven weeks.
