Trinity Health West Michigan Medical Group Expanding Access to Care in Grand Rapids Area
September 3, 2026
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (September 3, 2026) – Trinity Health West Michigan Medical Group is pleased to announce it is expanding access to care across the Grand Rapids region in several areas of need, including primary care, cardiovascular care, and geriatric services. The investment reiterates Trinity Health Michigan’s commitment to expanding patient-centered care in the communities we serve.
We are opening a new primary care location, making it easier for families to access trusted care, all in one place. Trinity Health Medical Group, Primary Care – Allendale (11275 Edgewater Dr., Ste. 100, Allendale) is scheduled to open on November 2. Services will include primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, and walk-in X-ray services. In the months after opening, OB/GYN services and mobile mammography will also be available.
Additionally, we expanded access to cardiovascular care at Trinity Health Medical Center – Rockford (6050 Northland Dr., Ste. 200, Rockford). This new office is now open, bringing the same expert heart and vascular care, support and patient-centered approach patients enjoy at our Grand Rapids, Byron Center, and East Paris locations.
Trinity Health Medical Group, Geriatrics – Grand Rapids is now open inside the Wege Medical Center (300 Lafayette Ave. SE, Grand Rapids). Services include annual wellness visits, chronic disease management, cognitive assessments, and care coordination across providers and care settings. These services are in addition to the existing geriatric services offered, like at-home primary care and care at senior living communities.
“Rather than spending on additional hospital capacity, we are investing in initiatives that will increase access to care across the Grand Rapids region and bring more primary care, heart care, and specialized services closer to where people live and work,” said Julie Lepzinski, vice president of operations, Trinity Health West Michigan Medical Group. “We are excited to expand our presence in these communities and show patients that we are here for them and can connect them to the high-quality care they need.”
In addition to these new practices and services, Trinity Health West Michigan Medical Group will welcome 25 primary care and specialty care providers to the Grand Rapids area over the final four months of 2026. This will ensure our ability to meet the care needs of our community and continue to be a compassionate and transforming healing presence.
