PGY1 Pharmacy Residency: Trinity Health Ann Arbor

Future goals: Obtain board certification in critical care and obtain a clinical pharmacist position in a critical care setting. I also intend to precept and mentor pharmacy residents and students.

What attracted me to THMI: The critical care preceptors are some of the best in their specialties, and the relationships I formed during PGY1 year made it a great fit for me. The preceptors and pharmacy staff not only care about you as a pharmacist but also as a person. Additionally, the opportunities to obtain robust clinical experience in the critical care and emergency medicine settings made it ideal to be exposed to vast experiences during a PGY2. Trinity also fosters a great work environment with high level interdisciplinary collaboration within the critical care teams; pharmacists have an active role within the care teams. Overall, THAA provided an optimal training environment to become a successful critical care pharmacist.

Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy: Spending time on the lake up north, going to the gym, watching football, playing pickleball with my wife, and playing video games in my spare time.
