My Why! Jennifer Stemple Shares Her Passion for Care
April 7, 2026Jennifer Stemple, CPhT, pharmacy technician specialist, shares why she chose to work for Trinity Health Livonia Hospital and the Trinity Health Livonia Medical Center and how they fuel her passion to care for others.
“My passion is to help others and hopefully play a part in their healing,” said Jennifer. “I love the core values at Trinity Health because they allow me to serve my community.”
“I specialized in Hospital Pharmacy with my Associate's degree from Oakland Community College,” said Jennifer. “I started out in retail pharmacy, moved into hospital (inpatient) pharmacy, and served as an instructor to lead a Pharmacy Technician program. I have proudly been able to work in many aspects of pharmacy such as making chemotherapy medications, pediatric/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit medications, and I currently serve as an Operating Room (OR) specialty technician.”
Jennifer is a licensed pharmacy technician. She helps prepare orders for patients and refills the Pyxis machines — for nurses to quickly access patient medications. Jennifer also compounds sterile IV preparations and non-sterile medications; for the past two years she has served in the Trinity Health Livonia Medical Center OR and Trinity Health Livonia Hospital OR. She ensures that operating rooms have the proper medications ready for each case.
“I even worked for Trinity Health Ann Arbor for two years, that was many years ago,” said Jennifer. “I had such a wonderful experience there that I came back to the Trinity Health family! They have great benefits, wages and a really warm environment! I've had the opportunity to work with so many terrific people over the years!”
One of the benefits Jennifer has been able to enjoy is the tuition reimbursement program.
“Trinity Health has a great tuition reimbursement program,” said Jennifer. “I started my journey to achieve my Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science about five years ago, while still working full time. The reimbursement program sure helped me out.”
When Jennifer is not at work or school, she is a dedicated mom to her toddler, Sophia. Sophia refuels her energy with powerful love. “She is my life,” exclaimed Jennifer. Before Sophia, Jennifer was blessed with two dogs, Spanky and Porky. When she is gifted with free time, Jennifer enjoys going on adventures, reading a good book and trying new wineries.
“Out of my 25 years of experience and the many places that I have been to, I have always encouraged technicians to work at Trinity Health Livonia,” said Jennifer. “There is something here for everyone!”
