Physician Assistant Hospital Medicine Fellowship
Admission Criteria:
- Anticipated graduation from an ARC-PA accredited PA program by August and be able to provide diploma and transcripts.
- NCCPA Board completion by the first week of September.
Application Requirements:
- CV including cover letter, clinical rotations, prior employment, publications, volunteer, awards, accomplishments
- Anticipated graduation from an ARC-PA accredited PA program. Applications will be accepted within 4 months of anticipated graduation date
- 3 Letters of References: one from PA program director, one from Internal Medicine preceptor (MD/DO/PA/NP), one from any clinical rotation preceptor (MD/DO/PA/NP)
- NCCPA Board must be completed or scheduled prior to submitting application
- Valid Michigan PA license, DEA license, and Michigan Controlled Substance License must all be obtained after board completion and prior to credentialing initiation
- AHA BLS/ACLS Certification
The candidate is required to maintain all licensing and certifications throughout the PA Fellowship program.

The PA Fellow will develop:
- Comprehensive knowledge to elicit a focus history, physical exam, develop differential diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and implement evidence-based management for acute illnesses in inpatient internal medicine.
- Skills to manage the acute decompensated patients in rapid response settings.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration skills working with multidisciplinary teams including sub specialties, pharmacy, nursing, and social services to provide optimal holistic care for patients and provide family support.
