Medical Student Rotations at Trinity Health Ann Arbor & Livingston Hospitals
Trinity Health Michigan Medical Education Program provides the best educational teaching for medical students. The focus of instruction is always on student learning and the environment is inviting and pressure-free.
The teaching faculty is enthusiastic and motivated by intrinsic rather than extrinsic goals. Each rotation has a clerkship director who serves as an advisor for the medical students.
From the beginning, medical students are a part of the Trinity Health team. Students are given the independence and responsibly to carry their own patients, enter orders, write H&Ps, and present differential diagnoses. Students receive computer training involving online order entry, which gives them the ability to view test/lab results in order to perform procedures and interact with patients.
Students attend all major meetings and hospital wide conferences such as Grand Rounds, Basic Science Lectures, Death & Complication Conferences, Tumor Boards, etc.
Students have access to our medical library 24-hours a day. Upon request, we also offer our students the opportunity to participate and/or present research projects, with one-on-one mentoring with our faculty and staff. Medical students from LCME and COCA-accredited schools are welcome to apply for elective rotations at Trinity Health Ann Arbor and Livingston Hospitals. To apply for an elective rotation, please download and complete the appropriate application.
