Trinity Health leaders shine at Crain’s 2025 Health Care Leadership Summit

In a time of rapid change and mounting challenges in health care, Shannon Striebich, President and CEO of Trinity Health Michigan, joined a distinguished panel at the Crain’s 2025 Health Care Leadership Summit to discuss Sustaining Health Care in a Turbulent Economy.

During the discussion, Shannon shared several forward-thinking strategies Trinity Health Michigan has implemented to help navigate today’s complex health care landscape. Among the highlights:

• A robust outpatient growth strategy aimed at expanding access to primary and specialty care services in convenient locations for patients across the state
• Our commitment to colleague engagement and safety. FirstChoice, Trinity Health’s flexible workforce solution, helps support staffing needs, and innovative quality and safety initiatives including workplace violence prevention measures.
• The continued optimization of TogetherCare, our Epic-based electronic medical record system and MyChart patient portal, to enhance care coordination and patient experience.

Shannon spoke about how these initiatives reflect Trinity Health’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and patient-centered care, even amid financial pressures, workforce shortages, and ever-changing government regulations.

Honoring Trinity Health Heroes
At the event, two Trinity Health leaders were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community:

• Dr. Chiquita Berg, Vice President of Community Health & Well-Being at Trinity Health Michigan, was honored as a Corporate Achievement Hero. Her dedication to addressing the social determinants of health has led to meaningful improvements in care for vulnerable populations across the state.
• Tawanna Nettles Robinson, Executive Director of the Trinity Health Detroit Ministry, received the Administrator Hero award for her leadership in expanding services and support for underserved communities in Detroit.
