Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital has two Institutional Review Boards, IRB #1 and IRB #2. IRB #1 serves as the IRB for all non-oncology research activities. The Oncology IRB (IRB #2) reviews all oncology research and is the Oncology Central IRB for the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium.

They are established and empowered under the auspices of Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital’s executive authorities, and, if federal funding is used to support human subject research in whole or in part, by the Institution’s Assurance with the federal Office for Human Research Protections.
