ANN ARBOR, Mich. (April 22, 2025) – Trinity Health Ann Arbor has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2026. This is the second year in a row the hospital has been included on the list. Newsweek and Statista, a leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, partnered to identify America’s Best Maternity Hospitals.
Additionally, Trinity Health Ann Arbor was also one of the 75 hospitals in the United States named to Money's Best Hospitals for Maternity Care of 2026 list.
“Access to high-quality health care has a lifelong impact for mothers and their babies,” said Jennifer Schaible, Director of Women and Children’s Services at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. “These recognitions highlight the strength of our maternity services in Ann Arbor and the broader care networks we have developed throughout the region to support growing families.”
The America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2026 ranking awards the leading hospitals for maternity care in the United States based on these three data sources:
- Hospital Quality Metrics with a focus on indicators relevant to maternity care.
- Patient Experience from public hospital survey data.
- Reputation score: Health care professionals and hospital managers with knowledge about maternity processes (neonatal and perinatal doctors, nurses, and midwives) were asked to recommend leading maternity hospitals in the United States.
Statista publishes hundreds of worldwide industry rankings and company listings with high-profile media partners. This research and analysis service is based on the success of statista.com, the leading data and business intelligence portal that provides statistics, relevant business data, and various market and consumer studies and surveys.
Additionally, the key indicators of quality in Money’s analysis were a dedication to mothers and babies before, during and after birth, along with patient satisfaction, safety records, and noteworthy maternity accreditations. Their analysis favors hospitals that demonstrate exemplary standards and earn high patient ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and distinctions from the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative and The Joint Commission.
