Nursing Scholarly Projects

Are you planning a nurse-led scholarly project at Trinity Health Grand Rapids, Trinity Health Muskegon or an affiliate outpatient office? You’re in the right place!
All nursing students who are planning to conduct a scholarly project in either Grand Rapids or Muskegon need to have been validated through the Clinical Placement Coordinate at their school and have an affiliate agreement us.
If you are an employee and a nursing student, you will also need to abide by the instructions above.
All project must be approved by the Nursing Scholarly Practice Council of the respective site (Muskegon/Grand Rapids) before implementation, followed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) if required.
Project Checklist
The documents below should be reviewed and completed prior to starting your project. Select the site that you plan to implement your project.
Review and complete the following:
- Trinity Health GR Student Nursing Validation and Project Approval
- New EBP/QI/Research Nursing Request Form (Word, 169KB)
- QI vs Research (Word, 143KB)
And determine your project type:
Select your project type and complete the form at the link.
- Evidence-Based Practice (Word, 153KB)
- Quality Improvement (Word, 143KB)
- Program Evaluation
- Nursing Research
Once you have the forms completed, please send them to: NSPC@trinity-health.org.
NSPC meets monthly.
- All materials need to be submitted no later than one week prior to the meeting to be considered for placement on the NSPC agenda.
- Submission does not guarantee that a project will be scheduled on the agenda.
- An invitation will be sent if the project is selected for the agenda.
- Presenters should prepare a 10-minute presentation and be available to respond to council questions and comments.
- For research projects, NPSC approval is required prior to submissions to the Trinity Health Institutional Review Board.
