Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery is a subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that focuses specifically on treating women with pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary or fecal incontinence, and overactive bladder. These disorders are treated through a combination of both surgical and non-surgical methods with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for affected women. Obstetrician/gynecologists undergo additional fellowship training in this subspecialty.
