	Jose Castaneda, MD Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine Clinical Interests: I love old school family medicine. I would like to serve in a rural community someday and want to be able to offer my patients every service possible without the need to travel or wait for treatment. Since I love getting outdoors I also enjoy learning about wilderness medicine and the challenges and solutions for treating patients in remote or austere environments. Hobbies: I have a ton of interests. I think that's partly what drew me to the scope of family medicine. Lately I've been into fishing and recently started Tenkara fly fishing. I'm really excited to try some of Michigan's famous trout streams. I play guitar, piano, and lots of video games with my kids. I'm also a big DIYer and will try to fix anything before asking someone else.

I'm especially interested in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and sports medicine. My goal is to become a well-rounded, empathetic physician who helps patients take charge of their health and feel truly heard. Hobbies: When I’m not in the hospital, you can usually find me out on the golf course, experimenting in the kitchen, or tending to my garden. I also love skiing in the winter and unwinding with some video games when I need to recharge.
