Program Director

Victoria L. Sharp, DO

Victoria L. Sharp, DO

Dr. Victoria Sharp has been Program Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Trinity Health Ann Arbor since 2023. Dr. Sharp is board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. She earned her medical degree at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her general surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills and subsequently her surgical critical care fellowship at the University of California San Francisco in Fresno. Dr. Sharp joined the Trinity team in 2020.

As a dedicated clinician educator, Dr. Sharp is committed to innovative training, mentorship, research, and creating a supportive learning environment for fellows. Her academic interests include Trauma and Surgical Critical Care and she is active in local, regional, and national professional organizations that advance trauma and critical care education.

William J. Curtiss, MD

William J. Curtiss, MD

Board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Curtiss earned his medical degree at Wayne State University. He then completed his general surgery residency at Providence Hospital. He subsequently completed his surgical critical care fellowship at Spectrum Health. Dr. Curtiss joined our team in 2020.

Roy Golden, MD

Roy Golden, MD

Board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Golden earned his medical degree at CUNY School of Medicine. He then completed his general surgery residency and a surgical critical care fellowship at the Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Golden joined the faculty at Trinity Health Ann Arbor in 2019.

Laszlo Marco Hoesel, MD

Laszlo Marco Hoesel, MD

Board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Hoesel earned his medical degree at Justus-Liebig University Medical School, Giessen, Germany. He then completed his general surgery residency at Trinity Health Ann Arbor, a trauma surgery fellowship at Emory University, and a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Hoesel joined the faculty at St. Joe's Ann Arbor in 2018.

Joshua Payne, MD

Board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. He received his medical education from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and his residency at Trinity Health Oakland Hospital. He completed a surgical critical care fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital.

Asha Shah, MD

Asha Shah, MD

Board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Shah earned her medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2009.
