Impact of Gifts
Because you give, Saint Mary's Foundation can continue to improve the health of our community and make an impact on the patients and families we serve by healing their mind, body, and spirit. How remarkable is that?
Here are some of the ways in which your gifts impacted patient care at Trinity Health Grand Rapids in the last year.
Advanced Medical Equipment
Equipment for radiation oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), cardiology, Mobile Mammography, and Neurosciences provided the most progressive care.
Birth Center
1,755 babies born at the Birth Center were safer thanks to the Hugs Infant Safety System made possible by Saint Mary’s Foundation.
Community Health and Well-Being
Our Community-Based Clinics conducted 46,940 patient visits with 3,094 new patients, supported by Saint Mary’s Foundation, through a basic-needs pantry, the Prescription for Health program, back-to-school donations, and developmental toys for infants.
Support Groups
Funded several support groups, including providing rhythm instruments for spiritual growth groups in the Psychiatric Medical Unit (PMU), allowing patients to heal and express themselves in new ways.
The Boutique at Lacks Cancer Center
The care team, supported by Saint Mary’s Foundation, has boosted the confidence and self-esteem of hundreds of cancer patients through complimentary services made possible by the purchase of over 700 specialty items, such as wigs, hats, chemo bags, and other items.
Mobile Mammography
The Mobile Mammography program performed 2,010 screening mammograms and diagnosed 13 breast cancers, making early detection possible, and subsequently greater changes of survival.
