Transforming Emergency Care at Trinity Health Oakland
Expanding and Enhancing Our Emergency Department
Exciting things are happening at Trinity Health Oakland! We're doubling the size of our Emergency Department, adding specialized pediatric care, and introducing a new behavioral health unit - all to better serve you and your family.
Our Emergency Center will stay open 24/7 and fully operational throughout the renovations, so you can count on us whenever you need care.
Renovation Highlights
The renovations and improvements will include:
- Will double in size to approximately 50,000 square feet (currently 19,000 square feet), resulting in larger patient care rooms and spaces to enhance comfort and healing.
- A dedicated behavioral health unit that will increase our capacity to serve patients and provide care in a private, dignified setting.
- Dedicated space for pediatric-focused care.
- A newly constructed ambulance entrance designed to streamline the process for EMS vehicles and improve their turnaround time for patient drop-offs and re-deployments.
- An enhanced lobby aimed at creating a more efficient and smooth triage process for patients.
- New and additional trauma bays.
