Kristen VanHouten graduated from Michigan State University with a master’s degree in nursing. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, interventional cardiology and treating heart failure.

When she is not working, VanHouten enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dogs. She focuses on her own health and wellness by participating in Crossfit and eating healthy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding in the winter, and spending time on the beaches of Lake Michigan in the summer.
