LIVONIA, Mich. (March 11, 2026) — Trinity Health Livonia announced it has awarded four grants totaling $100,000 to community-based organizations in Wayne County. The selected organizations are being provided financial support to further improve the health and wellbeing of residents living and working in Livonia.

“Our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our community goes far beyond the walls of our hospital,” said Matthew Griffin, M.D., chief medical officer and president of Trinity Health Livonia. “By uniting with other non-profit organizations in the greater Livonia region, we can strengthen our impact, close gaps in care, and build a healthier future for our community members.”

To be considered for a grant, each non-profit organization submitted an application demonstrating how their program advanced healthy living in Livonia. The one-year grant, which can total up to $50,000 for any one organization, will help fund sustainable projects that promote a culture of wellness in Livonia.
This year’s grant recipients are:

  1. Hegira Health: Same Day Access Capacity Building will implement evidence-based operational changes that will expand mental health care access.
  2. Schoolcraft College: Campus Food Pantry Expansion will expand access to perishable foods for students experiencing food insecurity.
  3. Leaders Advancing and Helping Communities: Healthy Schools Healthy Communities will focus on healthy behavior change for students and families in Livonia Public Schools.
  4. City of Livonia Housing Department: Resident Support Services will provide social work services for residents in senior housing communities.

As a leading not-for-profit health care provider, Trinity Health Michigan is committed to being a transforming, healing presence in the communities it serves, including within the greater Livonia region. Each year, the organization makes significant reinvestments of time, money, and resources to advance optimal health for all people, especially those who are poor and vulnerable, and to address the most pressing health needs throughout the state.
