Hundreds Attend Vine & Vinyl: Stories That Move Us to Hear Powerful Stories of Hope and Healing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Sept. 15, 2026) – The Saint Mary’s Foundation, a member of Trinity Health and the designated philanthropic and charitable arm for Trinity Health Grand Rapids, hosted more than 400 guests inside The Big Room at SILVA on Thursday, September 10th to welcome the return of Vine & Vinyl: Stories That Move Us. This year’s signature fundraising event was reimagined to spotlight the powerful stories of healing, hope, and human connection at Trinity Health.
A dozen former Vine & Vinyl headliners returned to the stage to share updates on their health journey and what has inspired them in the years since that journey began. The conversation, moderated by Saint Mary’s Foundation president Michelle Rabideau, was filled with laughter, tears, and stories about the music that helped them persevere through the hardest days of their lives.
“We have always believed that connection and community are at the core of what the Saint Mary’s Foundation and Trinity Health Grand Rapids is all about,” said Rabideau. “To reconnect with past storytellers this year and hear more about what continues to move them – truly made for a very special evening.”
In addition to hearing those incredible stories, guests enjoyed an evening of curated wines, craft beverages, elevated bites and dancing to handpicked vinyl sets spun by local DJ John Nowak, as well as his band Desmond Jones.
The event helped raise more than $141,000, the most in event history, for the Saint Mary’s Foundation – with all proceeds going to support programs and projects that provide an exceptional care experience for our patients, their families and our colleagues.
“The incredible generosity of our community never fails to surprise me – and I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who came out to support the Foundation,” said Rabideau. “This year’s Vine & Vinyl was bigger than ever but stayed true to the purpose it has always had: Bringing people together to share stories, celebrate resilience, and connect our community around the mission of compassionate care.”
