The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at Trinity Health Hospital Ann Arbor is committed to excellence in education. Patient Care
Fellows and faculty are expected to deliver patient-centered care and treat all patients equally and fairly irrespective of race, culture or religion.
Medical Knowledge
The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program is committed to providing an individualized educational experience through an innovative curriculum and strong mentorship to correspond to the professional needs and goals of each resident.
Practice-Based Learning and Improvement
Fellows are expected to be able to use scientific evidence and methods to investigate, evaluate, and improve patient care practices.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Fellows and faculty are expected to demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and other members of healthcare teams.
Professionalism
Fellows and faculty are expected to display the highest degree of professionalism, which includes but not limited to respect, compassion and commitment to continuous professional development and ethical practice.
Systems-Based Practice
Fellows and faculty are expected to demonstrate both an understanding of the contexts and systems in which health care is provided and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve and optimize health care.
