About this event
The pre-operative total hip Ann Arbor class can help you prepare for your surgery by giving you valuable information to help with your recovery.Welcome Trinity Health Ann Abor, we are happy you have chosen us as your center for your total joint replacement. We have earned both the Joint Commission Certification of an Advanced Total Hip and Knee Program and also the designation of a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center for Excellence. We participate with the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative which is founded on the principle of making Michigan the best place in the world to have a joint replacement.
Patients scheduled for total joint replacement surgery are encouraged to attend this class prior to their surgery.
The class will cover:
- Preparing for surgery
- Pre-operative exercises
- What to expect in the hospital
- Preparing to go home
- Equipment needs for home
- Physical therapy
