Please note: this class does not focus on managing acute side effects of cancer treatment, such as nausea, vomiting, mouth sores, or severe malnutrition.

What This Class Is:
- For Those Living Beyond a Cancer Diagnosis: Whether you’ve finished treatment or are receiving ongoing care, this class is for survivors ready to take an active role in healing. Note: it does not address acute treatment side effects.
- A Group Education Program: This is a supportive, evidence-based group series designed to help survivors take proactive steps toward whole-person health after cancer treatment.
- Grounded in Lifestyle Medicine: You'll learn how the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine can support healing, reduce recurrence risk, and enhance quality of life.
- Focused on Practical Tools and Strategies: Each session offers realistic, actionable steps you can start applying right away, no matter where you are in your survivorship journey.
- A Space for Shared Learning and Connection: You'll be part of a community of survivors learning and growing together in a safe, supportive environment.
What This Class Is Not:
- Not 1:1 Medical Care: This class is not a substitute for individual medical advice, personalized treatment planning, or one-on-one consultations with your oncology team, medical providers, or dietitian.
- Not Focused on a Single Pillar: While we explore nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and more, this program is designed to provide a broad, balanced overview of the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine rather than an intensive focus on any one area (such as an exercise training program).
- Not Therapy or Mental Health Counseling: While emotional well-being is an important focus, this program does not replace mental health counseling. We encourage participants needing emotional support to seek care from a licensed mental health professional.
Meet Your Instructor: This class is taught by Emily Haller, MS, RDN, DipACLM. Emily is a registered dietitian who specializes in lifestyle medicine, digestive health, and endurance sports nutrition. She brings a warm, inclusive approach to her teach and is passionate about empowering cancer survivors and thrivers with practical tools to support health and long-term well-being.
We're able to offer this class series for free thanks to support from our Trinity Health Cancer Center Survivorship Program —helping ensure that everyone impacted by cancer has access to the tools and support they need for healing and health.
