What Patients Are Saying:
"I want to thank you for helping me with this weight loss. I have struggled most of my adult life and even more so since menopause. Having you as a guide to help bounce nutrition decisions off, discuss different lifestyle changes and of course how best to use available medications has been wonderful, you have been wonderful. I am just a few pounds away from my goal weight now. It has been a steady consistent weight loss of almost 40 pounds, which leads me to believe it will be easier to maintain. This would have been much harder, if even possible, without you. Thank you for all the hard work you put in for me and many other women who struggle with their weight." – Cathy B.

Frequently Asked Questions
We offer a variety of nutrition plans in our clinic. We will help you choose the best option based on your health needs, food preferences, and previous experiences. Most plans work – it is sticking with them that is the challenge, so we encourage you to pick something that will work long-term. We will help you pick a plan that makes sense for YOU!
There is no best diet – most eating plans can work. We will help you chose the best for your body and your life and coach you how to do it! We can always change your plan if it turns out it is not the best t for you. But whatever you chose it is important to approach nutrition as a long-term solution.
From a medical standpoint, a 5-10% weight loss often has the most impact on your health. We recognize people feel their health is optimal at a variety of different weights. Often focusing more on how you feel, what your blood sugar is, what your blood pressure is, or your relationship with food is more important than what the scale says. Some of our patients don’t even look at the scale, depending on their goals.
We offer a variety of prescription medications including metformin, phentermine, Contrave, Qsymia, Saxenda, Wegovy, Zepbound, and Vyvanse. Our comprehensive intake will include discussing which, if any, of these medications are the best option for you. If medications work and do not cause side effects, they are generally used long term.
After your initial consult, we will see you monthly. Regardless of what plan we choose, the greatest predictor of success is regular monthly follow-ups. Some patients will need to be seen more often. Once you are in maintenance, we recommend being seen every 12 weeks. It is often harder to keep weight off than to lose it, and following up long term is key.
Most people will lose the most weight their rst month of making lifestyle changes. Many people lose most of their weight in the rst 6 months. Being ready to commit to change is key to getting the most out of your effort.
Exercise protects your heart, bones, and mood. Exercise helps you keep weight off once you lose it. It, however, does not help most people lose weight; but, it does help to prevent regaining weight. All forms of exercise have bene ts, and we will help support you in an exercise plan to help your health weight maintenance.
