Skin Cancer Screening Appointments - Now Full
Registration for this event is now closed. We experienced an overwhelming response and have reached capacity on December 4. To schedule a skin cancer screening appointment for a future date, please contact the practice directly at 734-712-3376.
Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the U.S. All adults should be screened for skin cancer every one to two years. Individuals at high risk of developing skin cancer may require more frequent screenings.
If you’ve noticed changes or irregularities in your skin and have never had a skin cancer screening, making a screening appointment with a Trinity Health dermatologist is the best way to detect abnormalities early.
We know it can be difficult to get in to see a dermatologist. To better serve you, we’re offering dedicated skin cancer screening appointment times on Wednesday, December 4 at Trinity Health Reichert Medical Center – Ann Arbor Campus.
A skin cancer screening exam typically takes just 10-15 minutes. A specialist will examine the skin for suspicious spots or lesions. If a spot or lesion is found, a shave biopsy may be performed, which typically takes another 10-15 minutes. Biopsy results are typically returned in one to two weeks.
Complete the Request Appointment form and a member of our care team will contact you to schedule. We expect significant interest in this one-day event and appointments will be scheduled in the order they are received. If you are unable to schedule on December 4, we will offer priority scheduling for appointments on future dates.
This appointment will be billed to your insurance. Coverage varies by provider. A physician referral may be required.
